In a nutshell
The HHZ Radio app is designed for listening to the radio. You don’t need to create an account; we don’t ask for your name or email address to use the app, and it doesn’t contain any ads or tracking software. Everything you do in the app—favorites, downloads, where you left off, your settings—stays on your phone.
There are three times when information is actually sent to us, and that only happens if you choose to do so yourself: recording a request, using the contact form, and turning on notifications.

What We Collect, and When
1. Your recorded request
When you record and submit a request, we receive that audio recording along with the name of the show it’s for. We listen to it to see if we can use it on the show. The recording isn’t shared with other listeners: there’s no chat, no timeline, and no public profile in the app. Recordings are stored as long as they’re relevant to the broadcast and are then deleted.
The app only requests access to your microphone when you press the record button, and never uses it otherwise.
2. The contact form
When you fill out the contact form, we'll receive your name, email address, subject line, and message—exactly what you enter—so we can reply to you.
To prevent misuse of that form, we also keep a record of an encrypted, irreversible representation of your IP address (a salted hash). This allows us to count how many messages are sent from a single location without the IP address itself being stored anywhere or being traceable.
3. Reports
If you turn on notifications, we’ll store a randomly generated device ID, along with your Google push token and the shows you’ve selected. That’s the only thing that ID is used for: to know which device a notification should be sent to. It isn’t linked to you personally, and if you turn off notifications, we won’t send anything else.

What We Don't Do
- We do not sell or share your information with third parties.
- The app does not contain any ad networks, analytics software, or tracking software.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use your data for advertising.
- We don't ask for your location, your contacts, your photos, or your files.
- We do not track your listening habits.
The app uses Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging exclusively to deliver push notifications. Other than that, we don't use Firebase—no analytics, no ads.

Where it is and how long
Everything you send is stored on our own server in the Netherlands and is always transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We retain requests and contact messages for as long as necessary to process them, and then we delete them.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we have about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To do so, please send an email to at**@********ut.co.uk and we'll take care of it. If you feel that we are not handling your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Children
The app is not specifically aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
