Gene Deal's testimony: Could it link Diddy to the Tupac case?
Sean "Diddy" Combs is not being charged with the murder of Tupac Shakur, but his name comes up frequently in the trial against Duane "Keffe D" Davis. Gene Deal, a former bodyguard of Diddy’s, has been called to testify about the relationship between Diddy and Keffe D, which could help the prosecution bolster the credibility of Keffe D’s claims. Let's be clear: Sean "Diddy" Combs has not been charged with Pac's murder. There is no indication that authorities are currently investigating the matter. Diddy has repeatedly denied any involvement in Tupac's death. But something feels off.

Diddy's former bodyguard says that people connected to the case want him to testify. Deal recently explained what he believes they want from him.
"They want me to prove that Keffe D and Diddy were in a relationship," Deal said. "They want me to confirm what I know about how Keffe D and Puff interacted when they were together. Gambling, laughing, drinking, popping bottles—everything. That’s what they want from me."
Why would establishing that relationship be important in this case? There is a compelling answer to that question.
Keffe D previously claimed that Diddy offered a million dollars for the murders of Tupac and Suge Knight. That allegation has resurfaced through evidence and witness testimony — *in this case*. They have not proven that any payment was actually made.
Did these men really know each other? It seems so. Were they in the same area? It seems so. And then there are the tough questions. Was there access? Was there an opportunity? Can anyone other than Keffe D confirm that relationship? We don’t know.
Gene Deal makes it extremely interesting.
Deal seems to understand this himself. CNN reporter Laura Coates told him, "They still want you," after he asked why his testimony was needed. Deal replied that investigators already have the information. He also suggested that sealed documents and federal investigators have even more pieces of the story. The question is what’s in there.
Could this be a legal loophole to go after Diddy while he's already in custody?

The Public Prosecutor’s Office is seeking to convict Keffe D. Establishing the reliability of his statements—in books, podcasts, and elsewhere—strengthens their case against him. His defense argues, in so many words, that Keffe D exaggerated and lied for attention and money. Confirming his relationships could simply help the Public Prosecution Service convince the jury that he was telling the truth about other matters.
There may come a day when Diddy actually walks into that courtroom.
And when Gene Deal finally takes the stand, it's almost certain that he'll incriminate Diddy.
