King Iso has sprinkled a lot of salt into the hip-hop scene again after almost two years with his seventh album. This man is a master at mixing dope beats and raw lyrics that seem to come straight from his soul. Iso started out on the side of San Diego-based fast spitter Twisted Insane and dropped his first two albums, \u201cThe Insanity Plea\u201d and \u201cAutophobia,\u201d at Brainsick Muzik. After a breakup, which was thankfully resolved, Iso decided to release his next project, \u201cDeMenTia,\u201d independently in 2018. Once he signed with the legendary Strange Music, things quickly went uphill. His debut there, \u201cWorld War Me,\u201d proved to be an instant classic.<\/p>\n
\u201cLaw 6126\u201d kicks in the door with a heavy message for all ghettos. Here, Iso raps about the struggle he had to convince Nebraska that he is not crazy. The self-produced trap beats give it a mystical vibe. In \u201cElement,\u201d he again shows us the raw conditions he sprung from. And then you have \u201cButcher Knife,\u201d featuring Snake Lucci, a track with a mixture of trap and rock in which they describe the realness of their living environment - an absolute blast!<\/p>\n
A special addition to the album is \u201cGiving Down,\u201d on which Starlito appears. Together they talk about the struggles and their drive to succeed for the next generation. The haunting \u201cCheck\u201d looks death in the eye and says \u201chey that's my brother.\u201d Iso also does a throwback to the g-funk sound with \u201cBeat Box,\u201d while \u201cCrash Out\u201d featuring the legendary E-40 adds a hyphy flair to its vibe.<\/p>\n
King Iso leaves no doubt in \u201cS.D.G.A.F.\u201d and effortlessly melds with D12\u201cs Kuniva to show they still don't give a damn, while \u201dTrip\u201c explores the bizarre sides of life over a dark trap sound. With \u201dBloody,\u201c you imagine yourself in an almost apocalyptic world, perfectly fitting Iso's memories that he would rather forget. And who doesn't love a good joint? Iso raps about smoking the finest blunts on \u201dHigh.\"<\/p>\n
Still further on, \u201cTravis O'Guin\u201d expresses his appreciation to the big boss of Strange Music, while in \u201cTalk to Me\u201d he makes it clear to his lady that he is retiring for a while to focus on his money.<\/p>\n
With \u201cNormal,\u201d Iso goes out with a bang, because it's normal to feel a little unnormal; that's part of it. The title track captures the essence of the album in a banger of epic proportions, and finally it ends with \u201cW.O.O.T.S.\u201d along with Taebo tha Truth, a warning to never forget to be part of the game.<\/p>\n
Iso has shocked the scene and is walking his own path from darkness to light. He tackles production like a veteran and adds his own original sauce to any type of beat he can find. This album is his magnum opus for him, as lyrics that evoke emotion are given a lyrically murderous twist. And let's face it: the man doesn't need a mask to show that he possesses a regal flow.<\/p>\n
