It was August 2024, sometime during the Wu-Tang Clan's farewell tour. The tech giant posted photos with the caption \"Never forget your OGs.\"<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \nA nice touch for those who remember it. But what was an obscure connection in 2010 between a hip-hop icon and an unknown startup has now become a political statement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n**From a tracksuit to a debate**<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \nRaekwon visited Palantir back when the company was still in its infancy. He even encouraged his followers to Google the company. Later, he wore a Palantir tracksuit jacket in a BET Cypher video. A curious footnote in hip-hop history.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \nBut Palantir grew into a publicly traded software and AI giant with controversial government contracts. Defense, intelligence agencies, immigration enforcement. The company denies building a centralized surveillance system and, in January, rejected accusations that it was creating a \"master list\" to monitor U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \nThe ACLU has other concerns.
