It\u2019s where Mac grew up, where, as a child, he slid down that blue slide that would later become the name of his breakthrough project. He was only 19 when *Blue Slide Park* was released on November 8, 2011. A Pittsburgh kid with something real to say. Mac was found unresponsive at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles, at 11:51 a.m. that day. Paramedics were unable to save him. The official cause of death: acute combined drug intoxication. Those responsible received harsh sentences. In April 2022, Ryan Michael Reavis was sentenced to ten years and eleven months for distributing oxycodone laced with fentanyl. Stephen Andrew Walter, who supplied the drugs, was sentenced to seventeen and a half years in May 2022.
