Suge Knight Wants to Distance Himself from the Tupac Murder Trial
Suge Knight, former CEO of Death Row Records and a witness to the 1996 shooting of Tupac Shakur, does not want to be involved in the current trial of defendant Duane "Keffe D" Davis. Knight, who is currently serving a prison sentence for another case, refuses to testify despite having been directly present at the incident. Suge Knight has made it clear that he wants to stay out of the lawsuit surrounding the murder of Tupac Shakur. The former CEO of Death Row Records was present when Tupac was shot in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996, but does not want to play a role in the trial now.
Knight was behind the wheel of the BMW with Tupac as a passenger when they were shot at after the Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand. The rapper died six days later from his injuries. Nearly thirty years later, Duane "Keffe D" Davis is standing trial as a suspect in the case.
According to sources, Suge does not want to testify or be involved in the trial. He is currently serving a long prison sentence for manslaughter in a separate case dating back to 2015. His absence from the trial raises questions, given that he was present at the shooting.
